And there was much rejoicing.
It was 70 degrees today (don't worry Michiganders, it's supposed to get cold again), so we opened the door to the balcony and listened to the rain. Well the humans listened - Darcy walked in and out and in and out a hundred times making tiny little loops on our tiny little balcony and just staring at the rain. When it was finally time to stay inside, her (perhaps not genius) puppy brain reminded her that she had been "in" the rain, and she shook off every imaginary rain drop. It was pretty cute, friends*.
Also cute (though blurry) was her dancing around wearing her towel around Rocky-style after going in the rain for real:
[*Especially endearing since the best thing she did all yesterday was throw up the stuffed elephant ear she had eaten days before, therefore saving us a very expensive procedure at the vet's office. But you know what? We'll take it. We did air high-fives and she now probably thinks it's the trick that makes us the happiest. Pet ownership is weird.]
